Explorers, grab your dance shoes and warm up your vocals, auditions for Tokyo Disney Resort are open!
Tokyo Disney Resort has announced London-based auditions for dancers, face characters and vocalists this August. The recruitment drive is for a huge amount performers and offers a few hints of things to look forward to in 2018.
First off, the search is on for dancers and gymnasts for performances across both Disneyland and DisneySea, including King Triton’s Concert and Big Band Beat.
Interestingly, the advertisement draws particular attention to the roles of Peter Pan and Wendy; which will require aerialist skills, tumbling experience and “no fear of heights”. It’s unclear what this brand new offering is, but with contracts starting in the new year this could be an early hint at new entertainment for the 35th Anniversary celebrations.

The auditions are also open for a variety of character roles, including Jasmine, Pocahontas, Alice, Wendy, Tinkerbell, Rapunzel, Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and the dastardly Cruella DeVil. The male roles also up for grabs are Captain Jack Sparrow, Gaston, Aladdin, Prince Charming, Prince Phillip, Mad Hatter, and Peter Pan, as well as surprise addition Indiana Jones. With a new parade announced as part of the anniversary celebrations, some of these characters could be included, along with brand new floats.
Finally, the auditions are also looking for vocalists, with 40s-style male and female singer sought for Big Band Beat, and Cinderella and Snow White for One Man’s Dream II. Whether vocalists are required for any new musical offerings remains to be seen.
The auditions take place in London this August. More information about the roles available and how to apply can be found on the Disney Auditions website.
