Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey Attraction at Tokyo DisneySea

Tokyo Disney Resort has released official photos of the Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey attraction at Fantasy Springs providing an exclusive first look into the new next-generation attraction. The stunning attraction is the third and most expansive Frozen ride to open at a Disney resort in recent years.

Fantasy Springs is set to open at Tokyo DisneySea on June 6, 2024. Representing the most significant expansion ever at Tokyo Disney Resort, Fantasy Springs will immerse guests in the worlds of Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan and will feature four state-of-the-art attractions, shopping, dining experiences, and the park-integrated Fantasy Springs hotel.

In Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey, visitors will embark on a boat ride through the two sisters’ epic and touching saga. Clocking in at over 6.5 minutes, the water ride will follow the story of the first Frozen film and feature the film’s well-known songs including Do You Want to Build a Snowman, For the First Time in Forever, Love Is an Open Door, and of course, Let It Go.

Located toward the back of Arendelle, Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey features a beautiful extended queue featuring Norwegian-inspired architectural design, including the “Dragestil” (dragon style) architectural style.

Eagle-eyed fans will discover the golden crocus flower from the kingdom’s official crest incorporated into designs, along with a snowflake motif.

The interior queue is highly detailed and filled with historical artifacts from the royal family, including portraits of King Agnarr and Queen Iduna, and traditional wooden carvings of Anna and Elsa as children.

As guests enter into the music room, they will find a mechanical musical ornament of Arendelle castle, with small wooden recreations of Anna and Elsa. The music playing through the queue area will also transition to a music-box inspired orchestration.

Loading Area

Much like Frozen Ever After in Hong Kong and Epcot, the attraction starts with Grand Pabbie telling young trolls about the story of Anna and Elsa, however, that’s where the similarities stop! While Frozen Ever After is set after the events of the first film, Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey retells the story of Frozen, starting with an emotional scene of the young royals singing “Do You Want to Build a Snowman.
