Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull is an attraction located in the port of Lost River Delta at the back of Tokyo DisneySea. This attraction offers a high-speed dark ride through an ancient temple. Here is how the Tokyo DisneySea Press Kit frames the ride story (via Disneyology): “The time is the 1930s. The place is Lost River Delta, a tattered outpost of civilization on the ragged edge of the ever-encroaching Central American rainforest and jungle. Famed archaeologist Dr. Henry ‘Indiana’ Jones, Jr., has discovered a long-lost pyramid hidden in the dense vegetation. The ancient limestone edifice is…

Tuesday, October 10, 2017, marked the last flight of the StarJets at Tokyo Disneyland. Way back in 1994, the Magic Kingdom replaced this ride with the metallic Astro Orbiter as part of its New Tomorrowland redesign. But for years, the classic version of the ride has persisted at Tokyo Disneyland, where Tomorrowland still exists as a place with retro blue spires at the entrance. At Tokyo Disneyland, the walkway between those spires leads straight down to Space Mountain, but if you turned left, you would eventually see the sight of the old USA rocket with red-and-white space shuttles revolving around…

Sindbad’s Storybook Voyage is an attraction in the port of Arabian Coast at Tokyo DisneySea. For newcomers to DisneySea, this 13-minute boat ride based on “The Seven Voyages of Sinbad the Sailor” from Arabian Nights, might be one of the park’s best-kept secrets. Disney Tourist Blog has even suggested that Sindbad’s Storybook Voyage is a viable contender for the title of “Disney’s Best Modern Dark Ride.” While it lacks the brand-name recognition of some of the other attractions based on well-known Disney cartoons, Sindbad’s certainly belongs in the upper echelon of rides at Tokyo Disney Resort, right alongside Fastpass favorites…

With a medium like animation, it is easy to get caught up in the world of the story, so that a person’s imagination becomes almost solely engaged in the on-screen magic, without giving much significant thought to the human artistry that made it possible. Back in April, a new exhibition tour, presented by the Walt Disney Animation Research Library, made its premiere in Odaiba, Tokyo at the…

For a two-week period this summer, Disney fans can catch a free photo exhibition at Fujifilm Square in Tokyo Midtown. This exhibition will include about 70 different photos staged inside the resort by various photographers, in conjunction with the Tokyo Disney Resort Photography Project. Back in October 2015, we reported on a similar exhibition called “Imagining the Magic.” This year’s exhibition is a continuation of that theme, with the photos designed to show scenes inside the parks that guests could only imagine in their wildest dreams.
