Beauty and the Beast Popcorn Bucket from Tokyo Disneyland

Are we exhausted from talking about the Fantasyland Expansion finally opening at Tokyo Disneyland? That’s a rhetorical question. There is a brand new Beauty and the Beast popcorn bucket and I’m bold enough to state this is the best piece of merchandise available at the Park.

Beauty and the Beast Popcorn Bucket at Tokyo Disneyland

The Beauty and the Beast popcorn bucket sells for 3,200 yen (US$30) and is available at various popcorn wagons throughout Tokyo Disneyland. It’s not available at Tokyo DisneySea, unfortunately.

When you buy the Beauty and the Beast popcorn bucket you don’t have to get the flavour that’s sold at the wagon. You can ask for a “voucher” and you’re given a voucher to fill the bucket with another flavour at another popcorn wagon! It’s also a great way if you don’t want to use the popcorn bucket right away.

A closer look at the Beauty and the Beast popcorn bucket

This is one of the more gorgeous buckets I’ve seen in a while. I’m not a popcorn bucket collector, but I had to make an exception for this one. While it’s only plastic, the outside has immense detail on all four sides. I love that it’ll look nice on a shelf and not something that’ll sit in your closet.

It’s not an awkward shape and holds a lot of popcorn. Unlike other buckets, I’ve seen at other Dinsey Parks where they’re not in the slightest practical.

The best selling point is how it lights up. It takes 3 AAA batteries that go in the bottom. That’s where the light is that is inside the bucket. If you have popcorn in there, it makes it tough for the light to shine. For the best effect, make sure the popcorn bucket is empty (or close to it).
