It’s not the easiest to find vegetarian food at Tokyo Disney Resort. Even customizing your food order is troublesome in the best of times. While Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea do have options, you’ll have an easier time visiting Ikspiari — the mall at Tokyo Disney Resort — and venturing to a restaurant or grocery store.
Here’s a shortlist of places to visit if you’re looking for vegetarian options. Most restaurants don’t advertise vegetarian options, so you’ll have to ask to ensure it doesn’t contain any meat.
Alright, lets’ do this!
Disclaimer: We try our best to check if items are vegetarian-friendly. We can’t guarantee that they are. It’s best to check with staff directly if you have questions. I recommend this handy guide for vocabulary about asking about vegetarian food!
Guzman y Gomez
My favourite place to dine in Ikspiari is Guzman y Gomez, a tex-mex restaurant chain from Australia. The restaurant offers a variety of burrito bowls, tacos, and other dishes.
The best part is that you’re able to customize your order. Customizing food at restaurants in Japan is uncommon; however, it has improved recently.
You’re able to create your vegetarian (even vegan) burrito bowl. You’ll find Guzman y Gomez past the Disney Store right before going to Cinema Ikspiari.
Saizeriya is a cheap Italian family restaurant in Japan popular among teenagers and families. The food is cheap and decent in quality. This family restaurant offers a vast menu that includes dishes with no meat.
Visit during the weekdays for a ¥500 (US$4.00) lunch that includes a main, soup, and salad.
There are two locations at Ikspiari: On the second Floor inside Ikspiari and under Maihama Station (down the stairs after exiting the station).
Starbucks needs no introduction, and Ikspari has two locations on the first and second floors. In addition to now offering oat and almond milk in recent years. There’s also more vegetarian and soy-based ready-made food available.
Suppose you’re looking for something quick, simple, and your daily coffee. Then Starbucks is an easy win!
Outside of Maihama Station is the convenience store, New Days. Here you’ll find ready-made food and sometimes small veggie snacks. New Days is good if you’re in a hurry while going to the parks.
There’s no 7-11, Family Mart, or Lawson close by without walking about 5-10 minutes outside the Resort area.
However, if you want more options, Seijo Iishi Grocery Store is better.
Seijo Iishi Grocery Store
On the first floor, past the food court, is Seijo Iishi, a grocery store chain. The prices here are higher than in other grocery stores, but this is the only option for an entire grocery store that’s easily accessible.
Since it’s a grocery store, there’s a fresh grocery section. There are full bento boxes and other ready-made food. This also includes some items that are cooked vegetables. The only issue is, you’ll have to cook whatever you buy. However, there are microwaves to warm up food!
That’s tricky if you’re staying in a hotel.
Seijo Isishi also carries many import brands from around the world, so that you may find a familiar brand! This grocery store is your best place if you want more options.
