Tokyo Disneyland’s popular Space Mountain attraction is scheduled to permanently close on the 1st of August this year, with a brand new reimagined Space Mountain and surrounding area set to debut in 2027. To mark this transition, a limited-time “Celebrating Space Mountain: The Final Ignition!” event will be held from April 9 to July 31, 2024, letting guests enjoy the current Space Mountain before it closes.
As part of the event, a collection of commemorative merchandise inspired by the classic Tomorrowland attraction is set to be released. The retro-styled range includes a Space Mountain planetarium-style light, a ride vehicle cushion, collectible figurines and badges, and a patch badge created from upcycled costumes worn by Space Mountain cast members.
The Celebrating Space Mountain: The Final Ignition collection will be available at Planet M located in Tomorrowland from April 8, 2024. Merchandise will be available while stocks last – these are sure to be popular!
