If you have not already, make sure to check out our other food reviews from Halloween, such as the Black Sausage Hot Dog and the Black Gyoza Bun. Here is our review of the Critter Sundae available at Rackety’s Raccoon Salon in Critter County at Tokyo Disneyland Park. Available until October 31st.
What Is Inside
A number of delicious treats await your taste buds in this unique looking dessert.
- Pumpkin Milk Swirl Ice Cream
- Pumpkin Seeds
- Chocolate Ghost
- Maple Micky Churro
- Corn Flakes
- Chocolate Crunch
The colours and presentation of the dessert work really well here. The dark churro and chocolate ghost go nicely with the purple, orange, and white soft serve. It is one of those desserts, there seems like there is a lot of them here, that is too hard to not take a photo of! The pumpkin seeds also add a nice touch. The finishing touch to give it that “Halloween” look is the chocolate ghost.
How is it?
The pumpkin ice cream tastes like pumpkin, which is nice and bitter. The sweetness of the Maple Churro and the sauce give it a nice balance. The pumpkin seeds are a nice crunch to the top but do not add much to the flavour of the overall dessert.
After eating through the soft serve and devouring the churro you are left with a lovely crunchy surprise at the bottom. Corn flakes and chocolate crunch (unsure what I should call it exactly) finish off the dessert nicely.
Should You Get It?
If you’re looking for something cool in both temperature and looks, then you will want to give this one a try. The pumpkin flavour is not over powering of the sweetness of the churro and softserve. Although the churro itself is a bit strange to have in the dessert, but it works either way.
Make sure to get this over at Rackety’s Raccoon Salon in Critter Country before October 31st. If you enjoyed this review, check out our other food reviews. Make sure to subscribe to keep up to date with everything happening at Tokyo Disney Resort!
