Detective Conan 4-D Live Show: Jewel Under the Starry Sky has officially opened at Universal Studios Japan. The immersive 4D experience marks the first permanent Detective Conan attraction at the park. To celebrate the opening of the new attraction, Universal Studios Japan has released a range of original merchandise, food, and what is sure to become a popular Conan popcorn bucket.

Detective Conan 4-D Live Show: Jewel Under the Starry Sky

Detective Conan 4-D Live Show: Jewel in the Starry Sky is located in the Manhattan Theater, replacing the classic Terminator 2: 3D attraction which closed in 2020. The 30-minute immersive show features live perfomers, 3-D images on a 45-meter wide giant screen, and high-tech in-theatre lighting, water spray, and smoke effects.

The Twilight Rainbow is a precious stone that sparkles in 7 different colors when placed under a starry sky. You have been invited to witness the jewel’s unveiling ceremony. A special theater equipped with state-of-the-art technology has been built just for the event by Jirokichi Suzuki, the senior advisor to the Suzuki Group and host of the ceremony.

When you enter the theater, Jirokichi, Ran, and Sonoko have also arrived. Kid the Phantom Thief has sent a heist note stating that he will take the jewel, so Conan is also on the scene together with Amuro who has come on behalf of Kogoro. Just as the spectacular unveiling ceremony begins, Kid the Phantom Thief makes his appearance, and tension instantly grips the venue.

As the commotion envelops the entire venue, you learn the truth thanks to Conan, who uses his deductive skills to unravel the mystery of the jewel. In whose hands will the jewel end up? And will you ever see the “rainbow” under the starry sky?

Gosho Aoyama’s Detective Conan comics have sold over 270 million copies worldwide. The 2023 movie “Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine” made 13.83 billion yen, becoming the highest-grossing film in the series, with the series having earned more than 118 billion yen at the box office. The franchise is popular in over 20 countries and regions globally, in addition to its home country of Japan.

Detective Conan Popcorn Bucket

An exclusive Conan popcorn bucket is available at the popcorn cart by Playing with Curious George. The Magician under the Moonlight Kid the Phantom Thief Popcorn Bucket features Kid the Phantom Thief holding the notice and smiling proudly. The popcorn bucket features a mysterious hidden secret!

Original Goods

Fans of Detective Conan will be glad to see that a whole slew of new merchandise is available in the park. The collection features plush mascot keychains, headbands with plush mascots of popular characters. In addition, Conan’s must-have items, the ‘wristwatch-type anesthesia gun’ and `bow tie-type voice changer,’ will be available at Universal Studios Souvenirs located in the New York area.

Detective Conan Food

The Food Cart in front of California Confectionery will be offering Conan-inspired original food that is perfect to eat while exploring the park. Guests have the choice between the ‘Kid with a Grown-up Intellect! Detective Conan Cookie Pie (Milk & Coffee), and the ‘It’s Showtime! Kid the Phantom Thief Brilliant Bun’ with Truffle-Flavored Filling inspired by Phantom Thief Kid’s symbol, a top hat.
