Disney Dream Moments Comes to Tokyo this Christmas
This Christmas, Disney and the Tokyu Group have teamed up to bring some extra Christmas cheer to shoppers, with special Christmas trees, decorations, merchandise and even train station music!
The Dream Moments event is a partnership between Disney and the Japan retail company Tokyu Group, with the decorations and popup shops appearing in and around Tokyu Group’s stores. You can check out the official site for all the information, but it’s only in Japanese, so here are the highlights!
First up, are specially designed Christmas Trees featuring favourite Disney Characters from Mickey & Friends, Winnie the Pooh, Pixar, and Frozen. There are trees of various sizes set for locations across Tokyo. The full Japanese list can be found here, but here are the most exciting decorations.

It’s common for stations in Japan to play a short melody when a train departs the station and this Christmas there’s an extra Disney twist. Futako Tamagawa Station will replace its usual melody will music from Frozen, Aobadai Station will play Toy Story and Cars tunes, and Oimachi Station will feature Hakuna Matata from the Lion King.
Dream Moments Markets also offers unique Disney merchandise. There’s no info available on the merchandise yet, but locations include the Tokyu Department Store at Shibuya Station, Hachioji Tokyu Square, and Machida Tokyu Twins. Full details on the markets can be found here, but the table below has information on the ones closest to the Christmas Trees.
