Walt Disney Records Japan has announced a national tour of the popular “Disney On Classic”, concert series. The production features music and film from classic Walt Disney animated films accompanied by an orchestra. Performances will take place from May to June 2022 across 12 cities, starting at Maihama Amphitheater at Tokyo Disney Resort.
Disney On Classic promises a gorgeous evening of entertainment, featuring Broadway-calibre Japanese vocalists performing with a full orchestra. The concert is set to feature music that covers the past 100 years of Disney Animation, from ‘Steamboat Willie’ and ‘Snow White’, right through to 2021’s ‘Encanto’.
Disney On Classic has attracted over 1 million audiences in over 500 shows for 14 years since it was created by Harmony JAPAN in 2002. The show has been presented in Asian countries such as Korea, Singapore and Taipei since 2008.
Advanced Tickets are now on sale for the 12 city tour. Packages are available featuring a collectable book featuring performer information, lyrics and interviews, a collectable pin badge and an original penlight.
