Disney Store 30th Anniversary Pop-up Museum • TDR Explorer

The Disney Store will celebrate its 30th anniversary on Sunday, August 21. To celebrate this milestone, Disney Store Japan has announced a pop-up museum looking back on the history of Disney Stores in Japan. The travelling exhibition is set to kick off in Tokyo on August 21, 2022 (Sunday) at Disney Flagship Tokyo before travelling to 9 cities nationwide.

Highlights of the pop-up museum will include an exhibition of nostalgic items commemorating the grand opening of the first Disney store in Yokohama all the way back in 1992, in addition to anniversary items from the subsequent 5th and 10th anniversaries.

The limited-time exhibition will also display the many original stuffed toy collections that Disney Store has released over the year, including UniBEARsity and the ever-popular Tsum Tsums that first debuted in Japan in 2013 before going international. Additionally, guests to the exhibit can take photos in a commemorative photo booth at the venue.

Merchandise

It’s not a Disney event without limited edition merchandise! Guests attending the museum have the opportunity to purchase a number of goods exclusive to the event, including acrylic key chains, mugs, and tote bags.
