Disney Ultimate Princess Celebration at Grand Front Osaka • TDR Explorer

From November 11th to December 25th, Grand Front Osaka will be hosting “Disney Ultimate Princess Celebration: Sparkling Moments”, a Disney Christmas celebration featuring photo spots, limited-time special menus and a limited-time pop-up shop selling Disney merchandise.

Disney Ultimate Princess Celebration: Sparkling Moments

Grant Front Osaka has teamed up with Disney to deck their halls with thousands of sparkling Christmas lights and decorations. The centrepiece of the event is the 11 metres tall “Eternally Bright” Christmas tree.

Located in Knowledge Plaza, the tree features silhouettes of 14 Disney princesses and is decorated with crystals and sequins. Every 15 minutes the tree will come alive with Disney magic, rotating like a giant music box to Princess Celebration’s theme song, ‘Starting Now -A New Me’.

Decorations

Approximately 380,000 champagne gold-coloured LEDs will light up the approximately 1ha of “Umekita Plaza” that spreads out in front of JR Osaka Station, along with the rows of zelkova trees and 117 trees on the west sidewalk of the North Building. This year, 70 special illumination decorations (15 types in total) with Disney Princess motifs are hidden in 117 trees for guests to find. The illuminations will take place from 17:00 to 24:00 every night during the celebration.

The grand staircase of Umekita Plaza will be decorated with a huge shadow graphic depicting Agrabah and characters from Disney’s Aladdin. The celebration will also include a Disney Princess Digital Stamp Rally featuring Instagramable photo spots.

Special Menus

Four restaurants at Grand Front Osaka will offer 5 special menu items for a limited time inspired by Disney Princesses.
