It’s hard to believe that two decades have passed since Duffy the Disney Bear first captured hearts in Japan, growing into a worldwide phenomenon, introducing a charming group of friends, and becoming a merchandising powerhouse with an endless array of adorable plush toys and outfits for every occasion. To commemorate the milestone, Tokyo DisneySea is set to host Duffy and Friends 20th: Colorful Happiness, an extra special event offering original merchandise, special menus, decorations and more!
Duffy and Friends 20th: Colorful Happiness will take place at Tokyo DisneySea from April 8, 2025, to March 19, 2026. Here’s a look at what this special celebration has in store!
Event Story
One day, after the rain, a huge rainbow arched across the sky. Duffy and his friends hurried out to enjoy the rainbow together, but by then, it had already started to fade.
Noticing her friends’ disappointment, LinaBell blew a soap bubble and showed a rainbow on it.
“That’s it! We can make our own rainbows!” Duffy exclaimed, and their smiles sparkled like rainbows.
Decoration
During the special event, the entrance to Passaggio MiraCosta at Tokyo DisneySea will feature a 20th-anniversary banner. As guests explore the picturesque Mediterranean Harbor, they’ll spot wall art along Paperino Street featuring Duffy and Friends playfully surrounded by bubbles.
In addition, Cape Cod will also be decorated with colourful rainbows and soap bubbles, as well as decorations featuring Duffy and Friends motifs, including a photo spot to pose with the gang.
Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina in Lost River Delta and its surrounding area will feature a Duffy & Friends theme. Guests can enjoy themed meals, take photos, shop for exclusive merchandise, and more, all while being immersed in the world of Duffy and Friends.
Original Goods
It’s not a Duffy event without special merchandise! Starting April 8th, guests can pick up plush charms of Duffy and Friends holding a bubble-shaped case with a “20” printed on it, special commemorative parches, alongside rainbow-inspired costumes for all seven plushes. Read more here!

Limited Time Food and Drink
From April 1st, Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina will offer a special menu celebrating the 20th anniversary of Duffy & Friends. The lineup includes set meals that include an adorable Duffy face design, which comes with a placemat and coaster to take home. A special Milk Tea Creme Brulee churro will also be available in addition to a rainbow-coloured bubble-themed Duffy and Friends popcorn bucket!

Entertainment
In Duffy and Friends’ Colorful Happiness Journey, Duffy and his friends set sail aboard a specially decorated DisneySea Transit Steamer Liner, dressed in their special 20th-anniversary outfits. The brief performance will take place along the waterways of Tokyo DisneySea 2-3 times per day. *Duffy and Friends’ Colorful Happiness Journey” will not be presented from July 1 – September 15, 2025.
Disney Resort Line
The Disney Resort Line will offer a Duffy and Friends 20th: Colorful Happiness ticket design featuring a special design. The tickets will be available from automatic ticket vending machines at each station.
Hotel Offerings
From April 8 to July 2, restaurants at Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta will offer special menus and drinks to commemorate the special occasion. Silk Road Garden, Gourmet Dinner Course at BellaVista Lounge and Oceano will offer dishes inspired by Duffy and Friends and soap bubbles and rainbows.
