Japan is a Pokémon lover’s dream, with the country offering a large array of exclusive Pokémon experiences. With over 20 dedicated Pokémon Center locations offering exclusive merchandise, themed Pokémon Cafés serving character-inspired meals and treats, limited-time pop-up fan events, and the newly opened PokéPark Kanto at Yomiuriland – there is something for every Pokémon trainer!

Pokémon Cafés in Japan are basically a dream come true for fans – they’re not just places to eat, they’re full-on themed experiences where the Pokémon world comes to life. Japan is home to two of these popular restaurants; Pokémon Café Tokyo, conveniently located near the epic Pokémon Center DX store, and Pokémon Café Osaka, connected to the Pokémon Center Osaka.

Both Pokémon Café locations feature Pokémon decor, themed tableware, alongside interactive elements, photo spots, and exclusive Pokémon Café merchandise, like mugs, plates, plushies, and apparel that aren’t available elsewhere. Depending on when you visit, the cafés may also offer seasonal menus and special promotions tied to new game releases.
Let’s dive into everything you need to know about visiting Pokémon Café!
