Tokaido Shinkansen and Oriental Land Company have collaborated to debut Wonderful Dreams Shinkansen; a specially painted train to celebrate the enchanting world of Fantasy Springs, Tokyo DisneySea’s newest port, which opened in June 2024. This marks the first time in the 60-year history of the Tokaido Shinkansen that all train cars will feature a unique design.
Each train of the 16 cats of the “Wonderful Dreams Shinkansen” will feature designs inspired by Fantasy Springs’s three immersive areas: Frozen Kingdom, Rapunzel’s Forest, and Peter Pan’s Neverland. Passengers aboard this magical bullet train will enjoy themed interior touches, such as decorative headrests and table stickers.

Passengers will be treated to “I See the Light” from Disney’s Tangled, which will play onboard the “Wonderful Dreams Shinkansen,” enhancing the magical journey.

- Operating Route: Tokaido Shinkansen (Tokyo to Shin-Osaka)
- Schedule: Primarily on “Hikari” and “Kodama” trains. Check the operating schedule on the official JR Central website.
- Start Date: February 21, 2025 (first service departs Nagoya Station at 6:43 AM and arrives at Tokyo Station at 8:42 AM)
- Operation Period: February 21 to mid-September 2025 (planned)
