It’s been just over a month since Grand Circuit Raceway closed to make way for the Fantasyland expansion at Tokyo Disneyland. Read all about the expansion here. The walls are up and the landscaping has begun. Here’s a photo update of the construction both inside and outside Tokyo Disneyland. We have a photo of the model which shows how the area is planned to look.
Inside Tokyo Disneyland
The are up around Grand Circuit Raceway — have been since the day after the attraction closed — and extend well into Toontown.
Outside Tokyo Disneyland
If you’re on the monorail you see the landscaping that is underway beside Space Mountain. Not too much to see just yet, but it’s a good sign that they are not taking their time.
The Beauty and the Beast attraction is set to open sometime in 2020 (no official dates are known yet).
