Photos and Review of Disney’s Fashionable Easter at Tokyo DisneySea
For Disney’s Easter 2015, Tokyo DisneySea has a brand new harbor show, which utilizes the newly renovated viewing areas in the Mediterranean Harbor, simply named Fashionable Easter.

Fashionable Easter
This is a 25 minute harbor show which is shown daily during Disney’s Easter with a focus on high fashion. Fours floats have been designed by “artists” from the different ports from the magnificent DisneySea – Mysterious Island, American Waterfront, Lost River Delta, and Mermaid Lagoon. The full description is available in English on the official website.
Artists from four of the Tokyo DisneySea themed ports have gathered for “Fashionable Easter,” a glorious and beautiful pageant themed to Easter fashions. This is a gorgeous show offered on a new stage on shore and on the waters of Mediterranean Harbor.

Fashionable Costumes
With a focus on fashion, you expect high quality outfits. This show does not disappoint and, dare we say, exceeds expectations. Each set of costumes is themed after a port, just like the floats. Costumes are highly detailed and are truly fashionable.

Each port brings a different texture and look to the show. Mysterious Island embraces a steampunk-esque theme; American Waterfront stages an elegant New York feel; Lost River Delta draws you in to a mystic rainforest vibe, think The Legend of Mythica; Mermaid Lagoon splashes with a pastel colour theme that would make anyone’s head turn. Descriptions do not do it justice – you have to see for yourself.
Don’t worry, Mickey and his friends (Duffy and Shelly Mae included) are still the stars of the shows. They have their very own brand new costumes. Some of which you can buy of course.

Show
The show itself is a myriad of dancing, singing, and light storytelling. The floats make stops at three points in the harbor (Lido Isle, the front of the harbor, and the right side.) Dancers and characters stay to their respected areas. So you’ll have to watch the show a few times to see the characters you’d like to see.
Not only are there performers on land, there are plenty on the water too. There are jet-skiis pulling kites and performers on the floats. Some of the characters never leave the float. There is so much for you to see and experience that you simply cannot see it all in one viewing.
Just when you thought the show was done pulling out the stops, they throw one more curveball your way. Half way through the show, performers begin swapping parts of their costumes with other performers in differently themed costumes. What this leads to is Stream Punk Mermaid hybrid costumes and American elegance meets mythical rainforest garb. How ingenuous is that?
Performers begin swapping out pieces of their costumes with each other. Creating hybrid costumes.Mystical Mermaid anyone?

Music
Just like the unique costumes, each port had their own music. Each piece of music is well suited for their respected ports. American Waterfront uses an elegant piece where Mysterious Island’s presentation is set to rock music. Mermaid Lagoon features a Caribbean themed track while Lost River Delta is quite mythical sounding. A wide variety of music and it simply works. The overall tune is catchy and will make you want to run to Emporio and purchase the CD straight away!

Not only did we take tons of photos, we also got a full video of the show!
Verdict
Since the ending of The Legend of Mythica, nothing has come in to replaced it. While this does not compare to Mythica, it is a great substitute. From the amazing and painstakingly detailed costumes to catchy music, you cannot miss this brand new show at DisneySea. OLC has yet again, raised the bar for live shows at Disney Resorts.
