Few parks have transformed quite like Hong Kong Disneyland. Since opening as a small half-day park in 2005, it has grown into a must-visit Disney destination, with new attractions, immersive lands, and a stunning new castle. And the evolution isn’t over – a brand-new Pixar entertainment experience has been announced, promising even more Disney magic for years to come.
Announced as part of Hong Kong Disneyland’s year-long 20th Anniversary celebration, the yet-untitled Pixar entertainment experience will be the first of its kind and unique to the resort, with Disney promising cutting-edge theatrical technology that blends practical sets and digital environments.
Disney released concept art for the experience on September 12th, offering us a first-look at the new entertainment offering. The experience is set to feature characters popular Pixar Animation films, including Mike Wasowski, Sulley, Needleman and CDA agents from the hit Pixar film, Monsters Inc.
While details are still scarce, it’s confirmed that the new attraction will be located between Toy Story Land and World of Frozen, according to a previously released map highlighting new experiences coming to Hong Kong Disneyland, including the brand-new Marvel attraction coming to Tomorrowland.
