Halloween Horror Nights returns to Universal Studios Japan from Friday, September 6, to Monday, November 4, 2024! Universal Studios Japan has provided a sneak peek at the spooky and adorable Halloween-only food and merchandise available from September 4th, 2024.
This year will see the return of the popular Pokémon-themed restaurant at Studio Stars Restaurant, with a revamped menu and a festive dining experience. Highlights include a rich beef stew served in a crispy pie, inspired by DJ Gengar, and a burger shaped like the Pokémon Mimikyu. Desserts featuring ghost-type Pokémon such as Hitomoshi and Pumpkaboo will be available for the first time at the park.
At Finnegan’s Bar & Grill, guests can enjoy a plate of pork ribs inspired by the hearty meals provided to BSAA members during their intense training. The menu also features refreshing lime-flavored drinks, inspired by the dependable and compassionate commander, Chris Redfield.
Guests can look forward to a whole slew of sweets and specialty drinks inspired by Hamikuma, the zombie ruler, and Hamikuma Soul. Highlights include a delicious dark chocolate and cassis cake inspired by Hamikuma and a fluffy vanilla and salt drink inspired by Hamikuma Soul.

As part of Universal Studios Japan’s new collaboration with Chainsaw Man, guests can expect a spooky blood orange-flavoured churro, and Bacon & Corn Cream filled bun themed to Pochita.
In addition to delicious food, an array of merchandise will be available featuring popular characters, including Pokemin, Hami-Kuma, Resident Evil, Snoopy and Chainsaw Man.

Getting around Japan by the world-renowned bullet train, known as the Shinkansen, is incredibly fast, reliable, and affordable for visitors. You can travel from Tokyo to Osaka in just over 2 hours. Get the JR Rail Pass to save a ton of money on the bullet train for your trip.
Book Your Hotel
Universal Studios Japan has affordable accommodations that are steps away from the park and have easy access to Osaka. I recommend checking prices through Booking.com followed by the hotels directly. Sometimes, you’re able to score some incredible deals. Here’s a short list of hotels at Universal Studios Japan I recommend.
- The Park Front Hotel at Universal Studios Japan – You’re directly in front of the Park gates and have instant access to Universal CityWalk Osaka. The rooms are gorgeous, with restaurants and even a Lawson (Japanese convenience store).
- The Singulari HOTEL & SKYSPA – Attached to the train station is a fantastic hotel for those who want a comfortable, clean, and stylish place to sleep. After a long day at Universal Studios Japan, the rooftop sento (public bath) is excellent for unwinding and relaxing.
