Hong Kong Disneyland Begins Castle Transformation

Hong Kong Disneyland has slowly begun the transformation of Sleeping Beauty Castle, which goes into refurbishment after January 1, 2018. Fellow Explorers (tahlzyj and renderman7) have sent in photos that walls have begun going up behind the castle.

The front of the castle is still visible.

The transformation of Hong Kong’s Castle lasts until sometime in 2019. We’ll see a bigger and more elaborate castle and new stage area.

It’s not known how the castle will look once the construction begins. We’ll keep you updated on the progress of the transformation once we learn more.

All photos used with permission from our fellow Explorers. If you have any construction photos you wish to share from any of the Disney Parks in Asia, please email them to us!
