Hong Kong Disneyland Castle Transformation Update (Summer 2019)
As part of their multi-year expansion, the transformation of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Hong Kong Disneyland continues through summer 2019 (expect to finish summer 2020). The construction for Frozen Land continues and is expected sometime in 2021.
Earlier this year, as part of the expansion, the new attraction Ant-Man and the Wasp: Nano Battle! opened in Tomorrowland. There’s a lot happening at the Resort in terms of construction. Let’s take a look at the progress!
Sleeping Beauty Castle Transformation
The top of the castle is now completely covered as the work continues on its transformation. It’s not ideal but it’s necessary to move things forward. You can see how much it’s changed from my photos from this past spring.
The second Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique opened on July 1, 2019, inside the Castle (entrance is from Fantasyland beside the Royal Banquet Hall). The first shop is in the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel.
The castle is set to finish sometime in summer 2020, but there has been no official announcement yet.
Frozen Land
Not much change that you’re able to see from within the Park. If you ride Toy Soldier Parachute Drop in Toy Story Land, you’re able to see the land when you’re at the top. This is set to finish sometime in 2021, keep in mind that there is no official announcement yet.
