Christmas time is in the air again, and Hong Kong Disneyland is getting into the spirit with its annual ‘A Disney Christmas‘ event featuring festive decorations, food, merchandise, and entertainment.

This year’s lineup includes an extra special live Christmas concert presented on select nights, opportunities to meet popular characters at Duffy and Friends Winter Wonderland, and an impressive array of festive Christmas meals and treats. Additionally, for the first time ever, Hong Kong Disneyland will host an unforgettable New Year’s celebration featuring one-night-only offerings.

A Disney Christmas will enchant Hong Kong Disneyland Resort from November 17 to January 2, 2024.

Entertainment

Disney Christmas Live in Concert

Guests visiting on select dates in December can enjoy “Disney Christmas Live in Concert!“, a live concert spectacular on the Castle Hub Stage. The show tells a heartwarming story from the perspective of a young child who adores playing the piano and receives a special gift from her grandmother.

Notable Disney characters, including Mirabel from “Encanto” and Anna and Elsa from “Frozen,” will make appearances on stage in festive costumes. The show features local singers Jason Chan and Phil Lam with special guest performers including the 100-person-strong Hong Kong Children’s Choir.

Guests can secure their spot in the designated seating area by purchasing a Seating Area Pass for HK$299 per person. Additionally, the Explorer’s Club Restaurant’s Semi-Buffet and Admission to “Disney Christmas Live in Concert!” VIP Seating Area Package is available for HK$649.

Mickey and Friends Christmastime Ball

Mickey and friends invite guests to a festive celebration and bring Christmas wishes to life. The show features Christmas music, quartet singers, dancers, and Mickey and friends in special holiday outfits. The popular festive show features many favourite Disney characters, including Mickey and Friends. The upbeat show is performed three times per day on the Castle Hub Stage.

“A Holiday Wish-Come-True” Tree Lighting Ceremony

This year, the “A Holiday Wish-Come-True” tree lighting ceremony will incorporate innovative drone effects to enhance the magical Christmas carol performance! The drones will light up the sky above Hong Kong Disneyland’s Main Street U.S.A., accompanied by a gentle snowfall, promising a truly magical moment.

Fans-tasy Duffy and Friends Winter Wonderland

During the Christmas season, Fantasy Gardens will be transformed into Fans-tasy Duffy and Friends Winter Wonderland with beautiful Christmas decorations set up for photos with your furry friends.

Guests can visit the “Duffy and Friends Play House” at the Plaza Grounds, allowing guests to interact with Duffy and Friends dressed in winter costumes. The immersive environment offers interactive character greetings and is a must-do for Duffy fans.

Guests can also visit the Main Street Cinema where LinaBell, where LinaBell, donning her new winter attire, eagerly welcomes visitors to a heartwarming show titled “My Journeys with Duffy.”

Merchandise

Hong Hong Disneyland will offer over 120 festive items including the Mickey and Friends Christmas series, the Stitch Christmas series, the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Anniversary Collection, “Frozen” 10th Anniversary Collection, and White Winnie The Pooh series.

The new Hong Kong Disneyland exclusive Duffy and Friends Winter Series includes stationery, mufflers, headwear, jackets, homeware, and backpacks, in addition to a range of adorable plush toys.

Food and Beverage

It’s not Christmas without a festive Christmas feast! During the celebrations, guests may indulge in a hearty American holiday dinner at Main Street Corner Cafe or enjoy the Christmas Special Set Menu at Plaza Inn. An all-new Explorer’s Christmas Dinner Buffet at Explorer’s Club Restaurant will be offered from December 16 to 31. Enchanted Garden Restaurant and Ink & Plate will also offer Christmas buffets. Delightful Christmas-themed treats will also be available throughout the park.

New Year’s Eve Countdown

For the very first time, an unforgettable New Year’s celebration is coming to Hong Kong Disneyland, inviting guests to welcome the new year alongside Mickey and Friends.

The festivities kick off at 9:00 p.m. on New Year’s Eve with opportunities to meet popular Disney characters at Adventureland, Tomorrowland Stage, and Main Street Station. As the clock nears midnight, all guests are encouraged to gather before the Castle for a special live performance followed by a presentation of the nighttime spectacular, “Momentous“.

At midnight, Mickey and Friends will lead a New Year’s Eve Countdown complete with projection mapping and fireworks. Disney Premier Access will also be available for the occasion.
