Hong Kong Disneyland Christmas Guide 2024

The holiday season is fast approaching, and Hong Kong Disneyland is getting into the spirit with its annual ‘A Disney Christmas‘ event featuring festive decorations, food, merchandise, and entertainment. This year, the World of Frozen will be decorated for Christmas for the very first time, alongside festive limited-time entertainment, including the return of a magical live Christmas concert on select nights.

Hong Kong Disneyland will also host an exciting New Year’s celebration with exclusive, one-night-only experiences, offering a magical way to see in the new year! A Disney Christmas will be presented at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort from November 15th until January 1st, 2025.

First-ever Christmas at World of Frozen

For the first time ever, World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland is getting into the Christmas spirit. Arendelle will come alive with festive decorations, featuring traditional Christmas trees, cheerful garlands and wreaths, playful Snowgies, and enchanting twinkling lights throughout the kingdom.

Guests can meet with Queen Anna and Elsa dressed in their winter royal attire, while the citizens of Arendelle will be on hand to share their special holiday time-honoured customs unique to their kingdom. Carolers of Arendelle will share local customs with guests and invite them to join in the celebrations.

As you step into the World of Frozen, you’ll spot Olaf and adorable Snowgies riding atop a sleigh full of festive Christmas treats, carrying a yule bell to Arendelle Castle. At the entrance of Frozen Ever After, a charming music box showcases a memory of Queen Anna and Elsa gracefully ice skating.

With the Hong Kong Disneyland mobile app’s interactive Magic AR feature, guests can bring enchanting ice magic to Friendship Fountain, the clock tower, and Arendelle Castle, all with Elsa’s magical touch.

Disney Christmas Live in Concert

Guests visiting Hong Kong Disneyland on select dates in December can enjoy a live concert spectacular on the Castle Hub Stage. “Disney Christmas Live in Concert!“. The show tells a heartwarming story from the perspective of a young child who adores playing the piano and receives a special gift from her grandmother. The show will feature live musicians, vocalists, projections and popular Disney characters.

Notable Disney characters, including Mirabel from “Encanto” and Anna and Elsa from “Frozen,” will make appearances on stage in festive costumes. The show will be held on three consecutive weekend nights, starting from November 23, and features local vocalists with special guest performers including the 100-person-strong Hong Kong Children’s Choir.

Mickey and Friends Christmastime Ball

The popular Mickey and Friends Christmastime Ball show will return in 2024. The lively show features Christmas music, quartet singers, dancers, and Mickey and his friends dressed in holiday outfits. The show features favourite Disney characters and is performed three times a day on the Castle Hub Stage.

“A Holiday Wish-Come-True” Tree Lighting Ceremony

Get into the Christmas spirit with the “A Holiday Wish-Come-True” tree lighting ceremony on Main Street. The seasonal offering features innovative drone effects accompanied by a gentle snowfall, promising a truly magical moment. * Drone performances in “A Holiday Wish-Come-True” Tree Lighting Ceremony may be cancelled due to unexpected weather conditions, without prior notice.

New Year’s Eve Countdown

Hong Kong Disneyland is set to celebrate the new year, allowing guests to ring in the new year alongside Mickey and Friends. Kicking off at 9 pm, guests can meet popular Disney characters at Adventureland, Tomorrowland Stage, and Main Street Station. Guests will be treated to a special presentation of the nighttime spectacular, “Momentous” after the clock strikes twelve.

At midnight, Mickey and Friends will lead an energetic New Year’s Eve Countdown complete with projection mapping, drones and stunning fireworks. Disney Premier Access will be available for HK$299.

Character Greetings

Guests can visit the winter edition “Duffy and Friends Play House,” which has been decorated for the season with snowman decorations and festive trimmings, allowing guests to interact with Duffy and Friends dressed in all-new nutcracker-themed outfits. The immersive environment offers interactive character greetings and is a must-do for Duffy fans.

Mickey and Friends will be out and about in the park, dressed in their finest festive attire. Guests can meet popular Disney characters including Santa Mickey and Santa Goofy at Fantasy Gardens, which has been transformed into the Ye Olde Christmas Market, while Stitch and Angel will meet with guests on the Tomorrowland Stage dressed in adorable Santa costumes.

Food and Drink

Hong Kong Disneyland’s festive season is filled with treats and feasts throughout the park. Guests can get into the spirit with seasonal offerings such as mulled wine, Winter Candied Apples, and Mickey-shaped gingerbread. A gingerbread house popcorn bucket with seasonal popcorn will be released.

Main Street Bakery, and food carts throughout the park will offer a delightful array of festive sweets and treats that have been made with eating on the go in mind, including churros, cake pops and cookies.

For a full meal, Explorer’s Club Restaurant serves a Christmas Dinner Buffet, offering a traditional Christmas dining experience with a range of festive delicacies. Guests may encounter Disney Friends dressed in their Christmas finest. The buffet is available from December 14 through December 31, 2024. Regular day prices are HK$613 for adults and HK$437 for children, with peak day pricing at HK$690 for adults and HK$481 for children ages 3-11.

Christmas Dinner Buffet (Explorer’s Club Restaurant)

The Royal Banquet Hall will get into the spirit with a hearty Christmas special set with grilled ham, pineapple and seasonal vegetables, served with a special drink. Corner Cafe will also offer up a delicious set menu, while Main Street Corner Cafe promises a classic American holiday dinner.

World of Frozen’s Golden Crocus Inn will offer the Arendelle Festive Christmas Combo, with a grilled steak paired with roasted seasonal vegetables, side dishes and a charming dessert featuring Olaf.

Dessert lovers are in luck with Northern Delights, adjacent to Friendship Fountain offering a festive Elsa Yuzu Chocolate Cupcake with snowflake decorations and a delicious Olaf soft-serve cone.

Alongside the wide variety of park foods, the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort hotels will also be getting into the Christmas spirit offering delicious seasonal buffets, lunches, and holiday-themed dinners.

Merchandise

Hong Hong Disneyland will offer over 200 festive items including including Mickey and Friends’ Christmas-themed home decorations and festive attire, Duffy and Friends’ holiday-exclusive nutcracker-themed plushes, a new White Winnie The Pooh collection, tree ornaments, and homeware.

Hong Kong Disneyland is releasing a new collection of Frozen-themed goods to commemorate the first anniversary of World of Frozen. Items include clothing, headwear, ceramic mugs, tumblers, plushes, pins, and the highly collectible first-ever 2024 World of Frozen Commemorative Jingle Bell.

Hotel Offerings

Hong Kong Disneyland’s Resort hotels will offer special add-ons to make your holiday stay unforgettable with extra touches of Disney magic. The Loveliest LinaBell Christmas Package features exclusive LinaBell Christmas items including a LinaBell ornament, a plush wreath, carry bag, and a cozy plush scarf.

At Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, guests can either Indulge in a classic Christmas experience with a Kingdom Club Room Package or enter the enchanting world of Arendelle with the “Sparkle All The Way” Room Package. The Frozen package includes a collectible pin, Anna and Elsa wooden ornaments, a plush Snowgie Wreath and Olaf stocking.

The suite package also includes a Frozen Afternoon Tea and Disney Premier Access passes for Frozen Ever After and Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs in World of Frozen.

The Resort hotels will also offer a range of additional offerings to enhance your stay including workshops to design balloon Christmas trees or Frozen mosaic night lamps.
