“Let’s Get Wicked” returns to Theater in the Wild in Adventureland (the same theatre where Festival of the Lion King is), which is transformed into a lair for the show. You’ll be able to see Ursula, Cruella de Vil, Dr. Facilier, Gaston, and Maleficent performing well-known villain songs.
The much-loved show won a Brass Ring Award in the “Most Creative Halloween Haunt, Show or Experience” category. For show schedules make sure to check the official Hong Kong Disneyland website and app.
“House of De Vil-lains”
Exhibition Hall will transform into a new Cruella theme Halloween party. Visitors will enter the venue by walking a Cruella-themed catwalk. Featuring Cruella, Ursula, the Evil Queen, the Queen of Hearts, Cadis and Maleficent, “House of De Vil-lains” promises stereoscopic projection, interactive technology, and sound and light effects.
Mickey’s Halloween Time Street Party
Join “Mickey’s Halloween Time Street Party” and dance with Mickey and Friends as well as the mystery-solving fox LinaBell, Duffy’s newest friend. Halloween music fills the air as the Disney pals appear in the procession atop giant jack-o’-lanterns.
Guests can immerse themselves in the Halloween spirit at the resort hotels. The hotels will offer Mickey Pumpkin Head Balloon Magic and Jack Skellington’s Skull Lamp craft workshops and a special Halloween-themed Magical Starlight Picnic package. Additionally, visitors can choose a “Jack Skellington’s Wicked Welcome” room add-on to get into the Halloween Town vibe. The Halloween-themed pack includes a skull tattoo sticker and necklace that will glow in the dark, a plush, and more.
Hong Kong Disneyland offers a large number of character greeting experiences that are specific for Halloween. During the Halloween season, guests can meet with with popular characters characters, with many appearing in fun Halloween costumes.
Characters include Winnie the Pooh and friends, Loki, Lotso and Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella.
Best Time to Visit
The weather is still hot in September and October with an average of 27°C (81°F) and 26°C (80°F) with high humidity. It doesn’t rain as much in October compared to September.
The best days to visit are Tuesday-Friday to avoid crowds (not that Hong Kong gets especially busy compared to other Disney Parks, but weekends are always busier in general). I suggest visiting near the end of October due to the cooling weather and you skip Golden Week, which makes both Hong Kong and Shanghai rather busy.
September is also fine as there are no major holidays, but if you don’t like the heat and humidity, then it’s best to go with October.
