Get ready to say “I am Groot!” once again! Tokyo Disney Resort has confirmed that It’s a Small World with Groot will return to Tokyo Disneyland for a limited time from Saturday, December 27, 2025. First introduced earlier this year, the fan-favourite overlay brings characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to life in the whimsical, storybook style of Mary Blair.
As guests cruise through the attraction, they’ll spot Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy on a world tour – appearing as a British Royal Guard in the United Kingdom, tending sheep in Holland, and playing the didgeridoo in Australia. Along the way, Groot will also encounter other familiar heroes, including Black Panther, Hulk, Captain America, Gamora, Doctor Stange and Thor.
Tokyo Disneyland is releasing a line of commemorative merchandise inspired by Groot’s takeover of the classic attraction. The line includes an adorable plush badges of Groot that can be paired with plush costumes he wears within the ride, plus wearable items, including a T-shirt and Groot headband.
