The beloved Jurassic Park attraction has reopened at Universal Studios Japan after an extensive refurbishment that restored the ride to its opening-day glory with comprehensive upgrades. To celebrate, the park is hosting a limited-time event, running from March 14 to August 31, 2025. Guests can look forward to thrilling dinosaur encounters, interactive activities, and new dining experiences.
Adventures in the Jurassic World
During the Jurassic World Journey event, guests will have the unique opportunity to step into the thrilling world of Jurassic World like never before. Guests will have the chance to come face-to-face with awe-inspiring, ultra-realistic dinosaurs featured in the hit franchise. The exciting dino encounters will be presented multiple times per day, adding an unforgettable dose of adventure to your visit.
In addition to exciting dinosaur encounters, guests can participate in the “Jurassic World Mission Walk”, a mystery-solving throughout the jungles of Jurassic Park. A mission-specific booklet will be available at Jurassic Outfitters, located at the exit of the Jurassic Park attraction. Guests can also snap photos with the iconic Gyrosphere, making for a memorable keepsake of your visit.
Revamped Dining at Discovery Restaurant
The popular Discovery Restaurant inspired by the visitor centre from the hit movie, will undergo a dinosaur-sized transformation with a brand new menu, including a massive T-REX Burger Set and a kid-friendly Triceratops Burger Set. Those with a sweet tooth can dig into a Jurassic Park cake, featuring the iconic gated entrance to the park, and a Flying Dinosaur Cupcake!

Special Drink Ancient Sea – Salt Lemon & Lychee Soda

Getting around Japan by the world-renowned bullet train, known as the Shinkansen, is incredibly fast, reliable, and affordable for visitors. You can travel from Tokyo to Osaka in just over 2 hours. Get the JR Rail Pass to save a ton of money on the bullet train for your trip.

Universal Studios Japan has affordable accommodations that are steps away from the park and have easy access to Osaka. I recommend checking prices through Booking.com followed by the hotels directly. Sometimes, you’re able to score some incredible deals. Here’s a short list of hotels at Universal Studios Japan I recommend.
- The Park Front Hotel at Universal Studios Japan – You’re directly in front of the Park gates and have instant access to Universal CityWalk Osaka. The rooms are gorgeous, with restaurants and even a Lawson (Japanese convenience store).
