LEGOLAND Japan Resort Turns Up the Splash Factor With a Revamped Soaking Summer Line-Up

Summer at LEGOLAND Japan Resort is set to return with its signature water-soaked seasonal event, “A Soaking Summer at LEGOLAND.” Designed for families with children of all ages, the seasonal programme offers, age-appropriate water play experiences across the park, from toddlers in shaded splash zones through to older kids diving into high-energy water battles.

LEGOLAND’s summertime event will be offered from July 10th to August 31st, 2026

Water Play Areas

This year’s summer line-up features the newly upgraded Water Maze II, a reimagined version of the park’s signature water play zone. Guests can now explore six refreshed zones, including a dragon slide, splash plaza, and multiple maze-style water paths filled with interactive elements. Overhead, the iconic Blue Dragon, built from more than 320,000 LEGO bricks, continues to keep watch over the area.

Entry is managed through same-day timed reservations, with limited availability for each session.

The returning stage show “Pirate Crew and Scorching Hot Exercise” brings back one of the park’s most recognisable summer warm-ups. Led by Captain Blackbeard and the Shark Army, the show combines simple dance moves with interactive water blasts designed to get guests moving before heading into the main water play areas.

Pirate-themed water play returns to Pirate Shore, where guests can expect near-constant soaking conditions throughout the day. Eleven water cannons fire at regular intervals across the area, while the Splash Battle attraction lets guests board pirate ships for interactive water fights using onboard water blasters.

Young guests can cool off at the colourful Splash Pad, complete with slides and showers inspired by LEGO bricks (a day-of reservation is required). Toddlers in diapers can safely enjoy their first water play experience in the indoor DUPLO Play area, specially designed for children aged 2 to 4.

Sunflower photo spots return for seasonal memories

Seasonal sunflower displays return at the entrance, including hidden LEGO-built sunflowers placed throughout the installation. A themed character photo spot also returns this year, offering families a bright seasonal backdrop to take commemorative photos of their visit.

Build a Boat returns with summer-only parts

The interactive Build-a-Boat experience also returns, allowing guests to design and race their own LEGO creations. This summer introduces limited-time parts, including transparent floating pieces and pirate-themed additions. Once built, boats can be tested in dedicated water channels featuring currents, ramps, and racing sections.

Summer Menu

LEGOLAND will offer 25 summer menu items including soda drinks made with tropical fruits, refreshing frappes, along with jellies and parfaits. Sai Japanese Restaurant will also offer a refreshing chilled kishimen noodles dish made with seasonal summer ingredients and charcoal-grilled chicken.

Charcoal-grilled Chicken & Cold Kishimen Noodle Set ¥2,600
Summer Frappe ¥950
Summer Special Sweets ¥880

One of the most surprising additions this year comes from inside the kitchen. A curry dish originally prepared once a year for staff has now been added to the public menu at Night Table Restaurant. Known informally as the head chef’s “secret curry,” the dish has been a long-standing favourite among staff.

Secret Curry ¥1,300 (¥1,000 for children)
