Disney fans should race to Hong Kong this September to join Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor at Disneyland’s “Marvel 10K Weekend 2017”.

Taking place on 16th-17th September, the event gives fans the chance to be heroes for the day and run a 3k, 5k or 10k route inside Hong Kong Disneyland.

As well as the main runs, children can also take part in shorter ‘Kids Races’ and join Marvel Heroes such as Captain America and Spider-Man for a selection of immersive Marvel-themed activities.

There are four types of races across the weekend:

• September 16: the Thor 5K
• September 17: the Captain America
• September 16,17: the Spider-Man 3K and the Kids Races

The runs are competitive, but the focus is definitely on the Disney experience, with runners cheered on by Marvel Heroes along the route and encouraged to dress-up themselves!

The Marvel 10k Weekend follows last year’s first ever 10K Weekend at Hong Disneyland, which saw 9,000 athletes and families join the fun. Mickey, Minnie, and friends were there too, but this year’s event is much more Marvel-themed, whether everyone’s favorite mouse will make an appearance remains to be seen…

Enrollment starts in late May, but there is no news on prices yet. Last year prices varied, depending on the course, from HK$199 to HK$899 ( US$25 to US$115).

The event continues a Marvelous year for Hong Kong Disneyland, after the opening of the Iron Man Experience in January and the announcement of the park’s Marvel Super Hero Summer event.
