Hong Kong Disneyland has released its fiscal 2016 reports, which includes reports of increased international visitors to the resort this past fiscal year. Our friends over at the Disney Magical Kingdom Blog have all the details.

A few days ago, we found out the newest hotel at the Resort — Disney Explorers Lodge — finally has an opening date of April 30, 2017. There’s now another thing to look forward to at Hong Kong Disneyland, a brand-new summer event!

Marvel Super Hero Summer

An all new event with the working title “Marvel Super Hero Summer” is coming to Hong Kong Disneyland in June 2017. There isn’t much known about the event yet, but guests can meet Captain American and Spider-Man in a new walk-through experience exclusive to Hong Kong (My guess is it’ll be in the space used for the Nightmare Experiment). Also, a variety of Marvel-themed merchandise and food. 

With the success of the Iron Man Experience (which opened in January 2017) and the multi-year expansion that’s Marvel heavy, it comes with no surprise with this announcement for their summer event.
