Tokyo Disney Resort pumps out the merchandise with new and exciting items to buy. It’s not too often that one single item grabs the attention of everyone collectively.
A simple yet brilliant item just came out at Tokyo Disney Resort. It does one thing and does it well. It dispenses hand soap in the shape of Mickey Mouse! It’s such a simple concept, I’m surprised this wasn’t available earlier.
Until now, you were only able to use the special dispensers inside certain washrooms and hand washing stations at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. Earlier this month two new stations were installed in Tomorrowland and Mysterious Island.
Edit: This item is back in stock. There’s a limit of 3 per person. It’s available at the Grand Emporium and Home Store at Tokyo Disneyland and Emporio at Tokyo DisneySea.
The hand soap dispenser is ¥1,200 ($11 USD) and comes with the 35th Anniversary design on the bottle. It’s filled with light citrus scented soap. It’s refillable with foaming hand soap only (you can’t use body wash or any thick liquid).
To make the Mickey shape, you place your hand flat under the nozzle while pressing your hand up against the guide. Then press the pump all the way down. It’s easier to do than the ones in the park. Watch the video below where I give you a demonstration of how it works (don’t ask how many times I washed my hands while making this video).
It’s a simple concept that I think is fantastic and brings a little fun to your everyday routine. It’ll also encourage kids (and adults) to wash their hands more often. Hopefully, it’s back in stock during your visit, because I’d say this is the one item you’ll need to bring home with you.
Are you going to get one when it’s back in stock? Let me know in the comments!
