Illumination’s Minion Land is set to open at Universal Studios Singapore at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) in 2025. The immersive new land will transport guests into the world of the Despicable Me and Minions franchises. Featuring multiple attractions, fun photo opportunities, and themed retail and dining experiences, the area promises to be the most immersive Minions land at a Universal Studios park.
Minion Land is divided into three unique areas: Minion Marketplace, Gru’s Neighbourhood, and Super Silly Fun Land. Fans of Minions will recognise many locations featured in the hit animated franchise.
In Minion Marketplace, guests can explore immersive retail locations such as Sweet Surrender, which offers a wide variety of homewares, confections, and souvenirs; Pop Store, which features fashion items with a Minion twist; and Fun Store, which is stocked with accessories and toys.
Adjacent to Minion Marketplace, Gru’s Neighbourhood will host Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, an immersive motion simulator ride attraction featured at all Universal Destinations. Guests will be taken on an unpredictable journey through Gru’s supervillain laboratory joined by Gru, the girls, and the Minions.
Minions Land will also be home to the Super Silly Fun Land, the seaside carnival from Illumination’s Despicable Me. Exclusive to Universal Studios Singapore, the area will host Buggie Boogie Carousel where guests will board space bugs and silly creatures and boogie to high-energy dance music. Guests can enjoy fun rides and games and enjoy themed food and views of the lagoon.
The carnival will also be home to Silly Swirly, a spinning carnival ride offering views of Super Silly Fun Land and the lagoon, along with carnival games Space Killer and Ba-Na-Na CaBaNa. Guests can also pick up carnival snacks from Super Hungry Food Stand and popcorn from Pop-A-Nana.

Universal Studios Japan has affordable accommodations that are steps away from the park and have easy access to Osaka. I recommend checking prices through Booking.com followed by the hotels directly. Sometimes, you’re able to score some incredible deals. Here’s a short list of hotels at Universal Studios Japan I recommend.
- The Park Front Hotel at Universal Studios Japan – You’re directly in front of the Park gates and have instant access to Universal CityWalk Osaka. The rooms are gorgeous, with restaurants and even a Lawson (Japanese convenience store).
