March 2 is officially Minnie Mouse Day in Japan and Disney Store is marking the occasion with a seriously cute new collection inspired by everyone’s favourite fashion icon. This year’s Minnie Day collection imagines Minnie as a sparkling idol, features Minnie in a pink polka-dot dress with a large matching bow, pink and mint ribbons, complete with glittering heart-shaped highlights in her eyes.
The collection features a kawaii plush toy of Minnie, with matching plush keychain. Minnie may be centre stage, but she’s not alone. Mickey Mouse appears in plush keychain form, dressed in a happi coat and waving a heart-shaped penlight as he cheers her on in a nod to Japanese idol culture. The line-up also includes super cute T-shirts in pink and white, and tote bags featuring original art of Minnie, alongside smaller goods such as card holders, pouches, mirrors and ticket-inspired sticker sets.
There are also handy picnic sheets, towel scarves, fan cushions, alongside fan and penlight cases designed with idol-style support in mind. Collectors will also love the blind-item secret series featuring penlight keychains and mini fans.
The collection will be available at Disney Store locations from February 27, with early sales from February 24 at Disney Flagship Tokyo, the Tokyo Disney Resort store and via the official Disney online store.
