Shanghai Disneyland is getting ready to ring in the New Year, Disney style! From December 31, 2021, and January 1, 2022 guests to the resort will be able to visit with characters and enjoy a special edition nighttime castle show.

During the two-day “Wish Upon a Star: A New Year Celebration” event, park guests at Shanghai Disneyland will be able to see Mickey and his friends in their event exclusive New Years costumes, featuring hues of royal blue and purple.

Guests can also experience a special edition nighttime castle show, “Light up the New Year”. Although the information on the show is limited, it appears to feature projection mapping, pyro, flames, fountains, and lasers. The photos provided by Shanghai Disney Resort sure look stunning.
