Photos from a Snowy & Closed Tokyo Disney Resort

Tokyo Disney Resort still has its two parks, Tokyo Disneyland & Tokyo DisneySea, closed until sometime in April. However, the monorail and Resort Hotels are still open.

Snow is rather rare in the Tokyo and Chiba area, but it does happen — even if it doesn’t stick. The last huge dump of snow was in 2016 and 2014.

Explorer Trish (who is also one of the cohosts on our podcast), went exploring on a wet and snowy day around Tokyo Disney Resort. She took some wonderful photos to share with all of you!

Even though the Parks are closed, we can still share a bit of magic.

Unlike other countries at the moment, Japan isn’t under an imposed lockdown.

Tokyo DisneySea & Hotel MiraCosta

Hotel MiraCosta is still open. Since it’s inside Tokyo DisneySea, getting a view into the Park is rather easy. We’re also beginning to see the cherry blossoms beginning to emerge too!

Ikspiari & Monorail

While Ikspiari (Tokyo’s version of Disney Springs) is closed, you’re still able to access the monorail to take a ride around the resort.
