PHOTOS: Tokyo Disney Resort During its Closure
Tokyo Disney Resort is among a number of places in Japan that has temporarily closed. This is a precautionary measure to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Both Tokyo Disneyland & Tokyo DisneySea are closed from February 29 through March 15, 2020. Disney Hotels are still open with limited services.
While the Parks are closed, the monorail is still operating. Explorer David made his way over to take photos of an empty Tokyo Disney Resort. This is the second-longest closure for the Parks. The longest was after the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011.
If you’re travelling to Japan we have a current list of temporary closures and information regarding travelling to Japan.
Very sad
So ominous. Thanks for sharing the photos. My heart goes out to all of the cast members temporarily out of work.
Are all construction projects also on hold during the closures?
Are they using this time to service and do maintenance on the rides?
How did you even enter and take pics!??
