Pokémon will celebrate its 30th anniversary on February 27, 2026. To commemorate the 30th anniversary, Pokémon Center have released a selection of anniversary merchandise featuring the hit franchise’s mascot and everyone’s favourite electric-type Pokémon, Pikachu!
The 30th anniversary collection features an eye-catching minimalist design of Pikachu, with the number 30 featured on his iconic red cheeks. The line up features a selection of wearable items including a baseball cap, tank top, t-shirts and hoodies, which also feature a stylish black and white design. Other highlights include drink-ware, stationary, ornaments and a commemorative pin.
In other Pokémon news – the world’s first permanent Pokémon theme park has opened in Japan – just in time for the 30th anniversary! Located at Yomiuriland in the scenic Tama Hills, PokéPark Kanto, guests can step into the world of Pokémon like never before, offering themed attractions, immersive environments, and of course, merchandise.
