The world’s first airport officially carrying the Pokémon name is taking flight in Japan for a limited-time transformation! From 7 July 2026, Noto Satoyama Airport will reopen as “Noto Satoyama Pokémon With You Airport”, a special reimagining running through to 30 September 2029.
This limited-time airport campaign, which has been developed to revitalise the Noto region, marks a major collaboration with the Pokémon With You Foundation, an initiative that uses the global appeal of Pokémon to support recovery, emotional wellbeing, and community rebuilding efforts.
Noto Satoyama Pokémon With You Airport
The transformation begins before you even step inside, with the airport’s exterior featuring the campaign logo at the upper facade. The entrance is lined with colourful Pokémon-themed pillars that set the tone for departure and arrival – even the ‘information signs’ feature a fun Pokémon twist!
Inside the terminal, the lobby, boarding bridges and entry points also include themed design elements, extending the story all the way to the aircraft. The arrival lobby on the first floor features an eye-catching mural titled ‘A Bright Future’, created in 2024 to support the reconstruction of the Noto region.
Upstairs, the airport’s distinctive two-story atrium features a large, symbolic Pikachu and airplane balloon floats, surrounded by decorations depicting countless Pokémon happily soaring through the sky. The atrium walls are decorated with 111 flying-type Pokémon – can you find them all!?
Another charming additions is found at the observation deck, now called “Pikachu’s Village.” Inspired by a rural landscape, the relaxation area features countless Pikachus, alongside other Pokémon friends.
A brand-new original artwork titled “Sky of Hope” has been created specifically for the airport. The piece features Pokémon soaring through bright skies filled with light, colour, and rainbow elements. The art appears across multiple areas throughout the airport, including merchandise and transport wraps.
On the third floor, Restaurant Annon will serve exclusive Pokémon-inspired menu items. The offering includes two pancake options and two themed drinks. Guests who order a pancake and drink set will have their meal served with a special original placemat featuring the airport’s artwork.
On the second floor, the Serendipity shop will stock a range of airport-exclusive goods. Items include T-shirts, keychains, luggage tags, and suitcase belts featuring both the airport logo and the “Sky of Hope” artwork. Stock will be limited, and purchase quantities may be restricted to ensure availability.
Inside the airport, three travel-inspired original short video stories can be accessed on a smartphone. One of these, “Fly! Bagon”, follows Bagon as it trains daily, dreaming of becoming a Pokémon that can truly fly. A matching monument inside the airport shows Bagon looking up at Salamence.
