Today (August 2, 2016), at around 12:00PM a power outage hit Tokyo Disney Resort, affecting both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. The outage was due to a lightning strike near the resort. Attractions came to a halt and guests sought shelter from the heavy downpour at the time of the outage. No injuries were reported, and power was eventually restored.

Many guests took to Twitter to post photos and videos from various parts of the resort, including on attractions which came to a halt.
