A brand-new Sailor Moon stage attraction is coming to Tokyo. Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon – Shining Theater Shinagawa Tokyo will open on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Located at Club eX at Shinagawa Prince Hotel, the show offers fans an all-new original story, cast, and immersive theatre format. The new venue succeeds the popular Shining Moon Tokyo theatre that operated in Azabu-Juban in 2019.
An Original Story Featuring a New Villain
The show presents an original story set inside a brand-new Tokyo theme park, where Usagi and her friends encounter an AI capable of crafting a perfect world. Trouble arises when Queen Valusia, a villain created exclusively for the production, appears and uses the AI to distort reality and steal Usagi’s heart. The Sailor Guardians must rise to protect their friends.
Two Rotating Cast Teams
The show features a double cast system, with performances rotating between Team Gold Moon and Team Silver Moon. Rina Koyama will lead Team Gold Moon as Super Sailor Moon, while Yuna Yamaguchi will lead Team Silver Moon. The full cast schedule is available in advance on the official website.
This season, visitors can enjoy seasonal celebrations and celebrate each character’s birthday. Each two-week birthday period will be dedicated to that character, starting with Rei Hino from April 7 to 19, by Kou Taiki from May 18 to 31, followed by Usagi Tsukino and Chibiusa from June 22 to July 5.
Mobile phone photography and videography is permitted during a designed ‘photo and video time’ at all shows. Guests are encouraged to share their experiences on social media. Premium seat holders also have the opportunity to take a commemorative photo with the cast – more on ticketing below.
Drinks, Sweets, and Exclusive Add-Ons
Guests can enjoy themed food and drinks while watching the show, including the Crystal Bottle Drink, inspired by the Sailor Guardians and Tuxedo Mask, Shining Cocktails themed to Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion, and limited-time Sailor Starlights drinks released to celebrate character birthdays.
Crystal bottle drinks and merchandise are only available as ticket add-ons and cannot be purchased separately. Premium and Class S tickets include a crystal bottle drink and a Luna-shaped Baumkuchen.
Merchandise
A range of official, theatre-exclusive merchandise will be available for purchase, including fanlights, acrylic stands in 10 different designs, T-shirts, blankets, and mugs. Guests can also pick up clear file sets and shopping bags.
New Artwork by Naoko Takeuchi
Newly created illustrations by Naoko Takeuchi will be displayed throughout the theatre, drawing guests into the world of Sailor Moon. Table displays will showcase original manga artwork, alongside merchandise featuring all-new illustrations.
Ticket Sales and Performance Period
Tickets are now on sale for performances from April 4 to July 31, 2026, with August 1 to November 30 shows going on sale in late May. A range of ticket types are available, offering perks like exclusive original merchandise, crystal bottle drinks, themed sweets, and commemorative photos with the cast.
