To mark the summer 2026 release of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5, the original Toy Story returns in a cinematic concert format that brings the film to life in a powerful new way. The Toy Story Cinema Concert pairs a full big-screen screening with live orchestral music, as the score is performed in real time alongside the film.
Presented in Japanese, the concert retains the film’s dialogue and sound effects, with music performed live by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of renowned conductor Kazuki Wada.
The ground-breaking animated movie, released in 1995 (1996 in Japan), reveals the secret life of toys and has become one of the most beloved films of all time, featuring Randy Newman’s unforgettable score, including the hit song “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.”
