Sailor Moon 30th Anniversary Details

Sailor moon is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the serialization of “Sailor Moon” which started in December 1991. Although the anniversary was technically in 2021, the 30th-anniversary project is set to launch with a large number of collaborations, events and more.

Sailor Moon 30th Anniversary Exhibition

To commemorate the 30th anniversary, the “Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Limited-Time Museum” will open for a limited time later in 2022. The exhibit traces the history of the franchise, from the original manga, the famed anime series, musical adoptions and more. Details will be announced at a later date.

Sanrio Characters x Sailor Moon Collaboration

A collaboration between Sailor Moon Eternal and the ever-popular Sanrio characters has been announced. The line pairs each of the Sailor Scouts with a Sanrio character; Sailor Moon paired with Hello Kitty, Sailor Chibi Moon paired with My Melody, Sailor Mercury paired with Cinnamoroll, Sailor Mars paired with Kuromi, Sailor Jupiter paired with Marron Cream, and Sailor Venus paired with Pompompurin

Milcrea x Sailor Moon Giveaway campaign

Popular Japanese chocolate company Milcrea are joining forces with Sailor Moon for a giveaway campaign. The promotion features two original package designs featuring the Inner and Outer Guardians. In addition, Milcrea will hold a campaign to win original design goods by lottery.

UNIQLO x Sailor Moon Collaboration

A collaboration between the “Sailor Moon Eternal” movie and UNIQLO UT has been announced. More information about the line will be announced at a later date.

Universal Studios Japan Original Goods

“Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon the Miracle 4-D: Moon Palace Edition Deluxe ” will be held at “Universal Cool Japan 2022” from March 4, 2022 (Friday).  to August 28, 2022. To celebrate, Universal is offering a number of original Sailor Moon goods including a “Universal Heart Compact” bag charm that is sure to be a big hit among fans.

Sailor Moon Eternal x PREMICO

A collaboration has been announced with Premico, maker of Japanese traditional crafts. Information relating to this promotion is scarce, however previous Premico Sailor Moon releases have featured limited edition 18k gold plated necklaces and charms.

Sailor Moon Eternal VR movie “VR DREAM FLIGHT”

The movie version “Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Eternal” release commemorative special VR video “VR DREAM FLIGHT” will be delivered from VIVEPORT (VIVEPORT Infinity advance delivery) from January 18, 2022. The VR video features Pegasus and Chibiusa flying over Tokyo and a transformation scene of Super Sailor Moon and Super Sailor Chibi Moon. It is available in Japanese, English, and simplified Chinese.

Sailor Moon x Anna Sui

A new collaboration between Sailor Moon and Anna Sui. has been announced featuring the characters of the anime and planetary symbols are combined with Anna Sui’s iconic butterflies and roses into the delicate designs. The product line is scheduled to be rolled out in February 2022 at Premium Bandai, ANNA SUI Online, and some general stores.

Sailor Moon Eternal x Wicca special collaboration watch

A collaboration between the movie version “Sailor Moon Eternal” and popular watch brand “Wicca” has been announced, featuring two types of watches. More information about the line of watches will be announced at a later date.

Sailor Moon x Samantha Thavasa

As part of the 30th-anniversary promotion, Sailor Moon is teaming up with the Samantha Thavasa Group to deliver a wide range of jewellery items across multiple brands including “Samantha Thavasa Petit Choice”, “Samantha Tiara” and “Samantha Thavasa UNDER25 & No.7”.

Sailor Moon Eternal x Maison de Fleur

Maison de FLEUR is a Japanese brand selling a wide range of bags, pouches and purses. In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of “Sailor Moon” and the movie version “Sailor Moon Eternal” x Maison de FLEUR collaboration has been announced, with details to come.

Sailor Moon Eternal Premium Frame Stamp Set

Last but not least, a special frame mail stamp set is coming out later in 2022. The “Eternal Sailor Moon” illustrations for this set have been drawn by Kazuko Tadano, who was in charge of character design for Eternal Sailor Moon movies. More information will be revealed later on.
