Sailor Moon fans, rejoice! To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the popular manga and anime series “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon,” a large-scale exhibition will be held at the Roppongi Museum in Tokyo from July 1 through December 30, 2022.

Sailor Moon Museum
The six-month-long exhibition is part of the Sailor Moon 30th Anniversary celebration which features a large number of collaborations, and a Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon 4D show at Universal Studios Japan which features a huge collection of Sailor Moon merchandise.

“Sailor Moon Museum” will feature an immersive multimedia theatre, holographic displays of original drawings and artwork in addition to a display of over 600 Sailor Moon items from the past 30 years, including games, collectable figurines, and costumes from the many stage musicals inspired by the show.

The exhibition will be presented in three phases, with rotating exhibitions of original artwork.
July 1 – September 4: The first instalment will feature original drawings from the first and second seasons of the series.
September 10-November 6: The second instalment will feature displays of original drawings from the third and fourth seasons.
November 12 – December 30: The third and final instalment will feature artwork and drawings from the fifth season onward.
Sailor Moon Cafe
During the exhibition, the Roppongi Museum will open a special Sailor Moon Museum Cafe. The cafe will feature a variety of special food and drinks themed to the motifs of Sailor Moon. New items will be added to the menu from September 10. Let’s check out the current menu.

Merchandise
The Sailor Moon Museum will feature a special store offering a huge variety of original goods. The collection includes beautiful stationery, acrylic figures, LED neon signs, clothing and accessories. The collection features items inspired by the original anime, both anime and Sailor Moon movies.
