Sanrio Puroland Temporarily Closed in Tokyo Over Coronavirus Concern
Sanrio Puroland, the home of Hello Kitty and tons of other Sanrio characters, is temporarily closed from February 22 through to March 13, 2020. The official website put out a statement regarding the closure.
The statement says in order to protect both customers and staff, the Park has decided to temporarily close. Tickets bought that expire during the closed period are extended until September 30, 2020.
Sanrio Puroland is an indoor theme park in the western part of Tokyo.
There are no known plans for other major theme parks such as Tokyo Disney Resort or Universal Studios Japan to close due to the coronavirus. As with any situation like this, it changes daily.
