Shanghai Disney Resort is bringing Duffy and Friends back into the spotlight with a month-long celebration featuring new entertainment, merchandise, food and immersive experiences.
Duffy Month will return from September 1 to 30, 2026, as part of the resort’s 10th Birthday Special Duffy Month, inviting guests to join Duffy and Friends on an all-new adventure inspired by friendship and Chinese animation.
Duffy Month Brings a New Adventure
This year’s celebration will feature a new collaboration between Duffy and Friends and the Shanghai Animation Film Studio, widely recognised for its influential Chinese animated films and characters.
The collaboration will bring familiar Chinese animation elements into the world of Duffy and Friends through park decorations, entertainment, merchandise, dining and a new promotional animation short.
Throughout Shanghai Disneyland, guests will find new decorations inspired by the animation, including peaches, gourds and goldfish, alongside Duffy and Friends’ signature soft colours.
The seven friends will also receive new outfits featuring auspicious motifs. Duffy will wear peach blossom details, while Gelatoni’s look features lotus flowers and goldfish. ‘Olu Mel will have gourd motifs, ShellieMay will feature swallows and peach blossoms, and StellaLou will wear moon embroidery and lake-wave patterns. CookieAnn and LinaBell will also receive new peach-inspired designs.
Duffy Month Pajama Party Nights
Duffy Month will introduce special Pajama Party Nights on September 19 and 20 and September 26 to 29. The evenings will begin with Duffy and Friends’ Pajama Party at the Pepsi E-Stage. Duffy and Friends will appear in brand-new pyjamas, and take part in a playful pillow fight.
The celebration will then continue at the castle with Duffy and Friends’ Special Celebration, a new projection show on the Enchanted Storybook Castle.
Opening with the Duffy Month theme song “Let’s Get Together”, the show will bring portraits of Duffy and Friends to life through projections before taking guests through the changing seasons. A starry night and fireworks will bring the celebration to a magical finale.
New Duffy Stage Show
A brand-new show, A Voyage with Duffy and Friends, will also debut on the Enchanted Storybook Castle stage.
The new production follows Duffy and Friends as they embark on an adventure to return a mysterious crystal to its home across the water. The show will feature an original Duffy Month theme song and a new story created especially for the celebration.
The Shanghai Huju Opera collaboration will also return for its third consecutive year.
Beginning September 5, the performance will take place every Saturday and Sunday throughout Duffy Month. Created with Shanghai Huju Opera Theatre, the show combines Disney storytelling with Shanghai’s traditional Huju Opera, with young Huju actors performing a specially arranged melody known as the “Shanghai Ballad”.
New Duffy Food and Merchandise
Duffy Month will bring a selection of new food and drinks inspired by Duffy and Friends, including peach-themed desserts, seasonal beverages and CookieAnn’s Made-With-Love Pastry set.
Duffy and Friends Celebration Hall will receive an updated menu featuring dishes such as ‘Olu Mel’s Island Melody Coconut Shrimp Rice and StellaLou’s Seafood Ribbon Noodles.
At CookieAnn Bakery Café, guests can try new treats including Passionfruit and Pineapple New York Rolls, White Chocolate Cream Cake and Mango Pomelo and Sago Croffle.
Two new merchandise collections will also debut.
The Duffy and Friends Little Voyage Collection will feature accessories, plushes, keychains, mooncakes and lifestyle items inspired by the Chinese-inspired artwork. One highlight is a teacup created in collaboration with artisans from Jingdezhen, known as China’s “porcelain capital”.
The Duffy and Friends Pajama Party Collection will offer cosy apparel and headwear inspired by the Duffy Month Pajama Party Nights.
The celebration will also extend to Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, where guests can take part in Duffy and Friends-themed activities including bedtime storytelling, DIY workshops, character interactions and hotel tours.
With new entertainment, character costumes, food and merchandise, Duffy Month 2026 will give guests plenty of ways to celebrate Duffy and Friends throughout Shanghai Disney Resort.
