Shanghai Disney Resort has announced a fourth themed hotel and expand its retail, dining, and entertainment district, marking the next chapter in the resort’s rapid growth. The new hotel will sit directly beside the entrance to Shanghai Disneyland, immersive guests into their Disney adventure the moment they arrive.
The new development joins other major expansions already underway, including the upcoming Art Nouveau-inspired third hotel on the south shore of Wishing Star Lake (more on that below,) a Spider-man themed land at Shanghai Disneyland, and a major enhancement to Soaring Over the Horizon.

During our recent visit to Shanghai Disney Resort, we captured a new look at the resort’s third themed hotel currently under construction beside Wishing Star Lake. Inspired by the city’s early 20th-century architectural heritage, the large nine-storey structure is now fully visible, covered in scaffolding and construction netting as exterior work continues.

The yet-to-be-named deluxe hotel will feature around 400 rooms and suites and will be located just a short walk from the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel. Its lakeside setting will offer views of both Wishing Star Lake and Shanghai Disneyland, along with new themed amenities, recreation areas, and experiences for guests enjoying a multi-day stay.

Even though much of the structure remains wrapped for now, it’s clear that Shanghai Disney Resort’s newest accommodation is well on its way to becoming another signature addition to the resort.

We’ll let you know when additional information becomes available.
