Shanghai Disney Resort is going all out for the release of Zootopia 2, transforming its Zootopia-themed land into a living, breathing extension of the upcoming film. Beginning November 18, 2025, guests will find new décor, hidden story details, reimagined entertainment, and limited-time offerings that bring the sequel’s adventure to life in an entirely new way.

A Star-Studded Global Celebration
On November 18, Shanghai Disney Resort and The Walt Disney Company China will host the Global Celebration of Zootopia 2 in the world’s first and only Zootopia-themed land. The event will welcome creators, special guests, and fans from around the world to mark the film’s release.
If you’re scheduled to visit on November 18th, note that some attractions, including Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, will see operational adjustments that day, so be sure to check official website for details.
Judy & Nick Return in Brand-New Looks
Fans can spot Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde sporting their new Zootopia 2 outfits during the daily Mickey’s Storybook Express parade from November 18, through January 27, 2026. The duo will also appear in their Zootennial Gala costumes to greet guests at the park’s entrance from November 19th.
New Districts, Characters, and Clues
Zootopia will also see a number of easter eggs and references to the sequel film, including the introduction of the canal-lined Marsh Market district, which will also appear in the park through new environmental details like updated signage, posters, and city maps.
The updates don’t stop there, with the introduction of characters from Zootopia 2, with Gary De’Snake taking up residence in Zootopia! The talkative viper will appear in the popular live entertainment, including Zootopia Comes Alive, where guests can witness the daily interactions between residents.
Zootopia: Hot Pursuit Attraction Updates
Sharp-eyed visitors exploring Zootopia: Hot Pursuit will notice new story clues scattered around the queue and attraction area, each linking to the plot of the new film. Additionally, for a limited time from November 19, 2025, to January 27, 2026, the finale will see Gazelle perform an all-new song “Zoo”, as featured in Zootopia 2, in addition to upgraded lighting and effects.
Zootopia Merchandise
Zootopia-themed merchandise will expand with new products inspired by Zootopia 2. Fru Fru’s boutique will feature apparel and accessories such as Nick Wilde’s tropical shirt and a crossbody bag spotlighting Gary De’Snake. Guests can also pick up exclusive collectibles and souvenirs showcasing new characters and designs from the sequel, allowing fans to bring the fun of Zootopia home.
Zootopia-Inspired Food and Treats
The celebration brings new snacks and drinks across the resort, including fish-inspired dishes from the Marsh Market district and a Gary De’Snake-themed cotton candy. Returning favourites like Pawpsicles and Clawhauser’s Big Donut will also be available.
Special Zootopia Castle Show
As night falls, the Enchanted Storybook Castle will light up with a limited-time Zootopia-themed projection show before ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration. The updated show will features scenes from both films set to Gazelle’s “Try Everything” and her new song “Zoo.”
