Shanghai Disney Resort is getting a spooky seasonal makeover from October 4 to November 1, 2026, bringing Disney Villains, festive entertainment, Halloween treats, exclusive merchandise and plenty of wickedly fun surprises to Shanghai Disneyland.
This year’s celebration introduces Peg-Leg Pete, new Halloween looks for Mickey and Friends and Duffy and Friends, an expanded 10 Spook-tacular Days celebration, and even more “With You, It’s Magic+” moments throughout the resort.
Halloween Decorations
Shanghai Disneyland will transform into a Halloween wonderland throughout the season, with festive bunting and Disney character-inspired jack-o’-lanterns appearing throughout the park.
The Halloween decorations will also incorporate elements of the resort’s 10th Birthday Celebration, creating a festive backdrop for seasonal photos and Halloween fun.
Limited-Time Entertainment
The Donald’s Halloween Treat Cavalcade returns for Halloween 2026 with an additional daytime performance, giving guests even more chances to catch the festive procession.

Led by Donald Duck and Daisy Duck, the cavalcade brings Disney Villains into the spotlight as they take over the park for a Halloween celebration. Guests dressed in their most creative Halloween looks may even be selected to join Donald and Daisy in the cavalcade.
The cavalcade will also receive an additional daytime performance, alongside its regular one to two nightly appearances along the Gardens of Imagination parade route. Mickey Mouse and Friends, along with Duffy and Friends, will join the Disney Villains in festive Halloween costumes.
Halloween in Zootopia
Zootopia will once again celebrate Halloween with its annual Howl-o-ween festivities.
Guests can join Judy, Nick and the residents of Zootopia as the land comes alive with Halloween fun. Daily 10-minute Mark Howling sessions will take place throughout the celebration, while seasonal Blue Howling Drinks will add to the atmosphere.
Zootopia will be decked out for the season with autumnal pumpkins, gourds and plenty of Halloween flair.
Halloween Spook-tacular Days
The biggest Halloween celebration will take place during Halloween Spook-tacular Days, which has been expanded to 10 days for 2026.
Taking place from October 16 to 18, October 23 to 25, and October 29 to November 1, the special event will feature five festive Party Zones where guests can dance and celebrate Halloween.
Guests can also discover surprise encounters in the Alice in Wonderland Maze, join Donald’s Halloween Treat Party at Festival Forest and collect treats throughout the resort.
The festivities culminate at the Enchanted Storybook Castle with the Disney Villains Castle Celebration, bringing the season’s most wicked characters together for a special Halloween celebration.
Character Greetings
Halloween is also a great time to meet Disney characters in their seasonal costumes, with several favourites receiving brand-new looks for 2026.
Disney Villains will make appearances throughout the park, giving guests the chance to encounter some of Disney’s most infamous characters during the Halloween season.
Making his Shanghai Disney Resort debut this Halloween is Peg-Leg Pete, who will appear as an evil king and bring some extra mischief to the festivities.
Mickey Mouse and Friends will be dressed in steampunk-inspired Halloween costumes, while Duffy and Friends will take on the look of a whimsical bard troupe.
Limited-Time Food
Halloween-themed food and drinks will be available throughout Shanghai Disney Resort during the seasonal celebration.
The lineup will include dark-themed treats, Halloween set menus and festive buffets, giving guests plenty of opportunities to enjoy seasonal flavours during their visit.
Halloween Merchandise
Four new Halloween merchandise collections will debut during the 2026 celebration, inspired by Mickey and Friends, Duffy and Friends, Winnie the Pooh and Friends, and Zootopia.
The collections will include glow-in-the-dark apparel, pumpkin-inspired items, cosy autumn clothing and collectible plush.
Halloween in Disneytown
The Halloween fun extends beyond Shanghai Disneyland to Disneytown, where guests can take part in the Disneytown Halloween Tour.
The experience will include a trick-or-treat trail, while the Halloween Market will offer festive finds and seasonal photo opportunities.
