Zootopia Expansion Coming to Shanghai Disneyland

A Zootopia-themed land is set to open at Shanghai Disneyland in 2023, bringing guests into the world of the 2016 smash hit Disney film. Zootopia will be the second major expansion to Shanghai Disneyland since it opened in 2016, following the opening of Toy Story Land in April 2018.

The first-ever Zootopia land in any Disney Park will include an attraction that seamlessly blends Disney storytelling and state-of-the-art technology, bringing the world and characters of the movie to life.

Details are limited, but Disney promises exciting entertainment, merchandise, and food and beverage offerings. The released concept art features a shopping street with guests sporting Gazelle horn headbands in front of the Zootopia Police Department, which doubles as the entrance to the land’s main E-ticket attraction.

Disney also showed a video of an animatronic figure of Officer Clawhauser.
