Summer 2023 at Tokyo Disney Resort

In addition to the 40th Anniversary “Dream-Go-Round!” celebration, Tokyo Disney Resort is set to offer a variety of programs, menus, and merchandise for guests to enjoy during the hot summer! Visitors can participate in summer activities at both parks from July 4 to September 6, 2023.

Tokyo Disneyland

At Tokyo Disneyland, guests can experience a unique version of Splash Mountain called “Drenched MAX!” which will leave them completely soaked. While the park’s standard version of the ride is less wet than its American counterparts, “Drenched MAX!” will leave guests dripping wet from head to toe!

To cool off from the heat, Baymax from Big Hero 6 will appear on the parade route at Tokyo Disneyland to spray guests. Baymax is on a mission to raise the ‘energy levels’ of guests, which has decreased due to the heat, and will search for areas in need of care while spraying them with a cool mist.

Additionally, Toontown will offer a summer-only wet spot called “Soaking Toontown“, which will offer cool mist and waterfall-like fountains. Guests can splash around and have fun in this wet area specially designed for the summer season.

Guests at both parks will be able to have a Soaking Wet Time with cast members carrying barrels of water on their backs to spray cool mist on guests needing to cool off!

Tokyo DisneySea

After a four-year hiatus, Tokyo DisneySea is bringing back the summer version of “Aquatopia” which promises a soaking experience! The ride features self-driving water vehicles that take passengers on a thrilling and unpredictable journey, with the added excitement of not knowing where or when they will get wet!

Summer Menus

The parks will provide refreshing menus to help you beat the summer heat. For the first time in two years, Tokyo Disneyland’s Plaza Pavilion Restaurant will be serving shaved ice with refreshing fruit pulp, along with a cookie featuring the Tokyo Disney Resort 40th Anniversary logo.

Also available at Tokyo Disneyland, Rackety’s Raccoon Saloon in Critter Country and Squeezer’s Tropical Juice Bar in Adventureland will resume operations and will be serving chocolate sundaes and refreshing soft-serve ice cream flavoured with apple and mango.

In addition, Tokyo DisneySea will offer cold noodle salads and other summery items to cool you down.

Summer Clothing

Both parks will have a variety of summer merchandise available for purchase, including a line of Disney-themed Hawaiian shirts and a collection showcasing the Tokyo Disney Resort park logos. Click here to take a look at the collection!
