The Snuggly Duckling Restaurant at Tokyo DisneySea’s Fantasy Springs

The eagerly awaited Fantasy Springs expansion at Tokyo DisneySea is scheduled to open its doors to visitors on June 6, 2024, inviting guests into the world of Peter Pan, Frozen and Tangled. In addition to the romantic Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival attraction, guests can enjoy a meal at The Snuggly Duckling.

Located in Rapunzel’s Forest, The Snuggly Duckling is a counter-service restaurant inspired by the tavern where the local rough-and-tumble crowd gathers in the feature film. The 620-seat venue features highly atmospheric dining areas replicating the tavern and nearby stable seen in the film.

The whimsical restaurant, inspired by the film, features a massive leafy tree that appears to grow into the building itself. Guests inside can see the tree extending through the roof and walls.

Everywhere guests look they will find hidden details, including various weapons lodged in the walls by the ruffians of The Snuggly Duckling who forgot to stow away their armaments in the assigned area.

Guests wishing to dine at The Snuggly Duckling are required to place their orders using Disney Mobile Order on the Tokyo Disney Resort app. After receiving a pickup time, they can enter the venue and collect their meal at a designated pick-up spot.

The highly themed dining hall at The Snuggle Duckling features Hook Hand’s grand piano on a stage haphazardly made of barrels, where he gets to live out his dream of becoming a concert pianist.

Currently, Hook Hand is on his “I’ve Got a Dream” World Tour, performing in a kingdom near you! He has left a note cautioning patrons to keep their hooks and hands off his piano.

The dining hall features gorgeous stylized artwork of Rapunzel with long luscious locks, Flynn Rider, Pascal and the ruffian patrons who frequent The Snuggly Duckling.

The whimsical artwork continues throughout the venue, with designs of Rapunzel, Maximus and Pascal.

Framed painted portraits of Maximus and Pascal adorn the walls, depicting Maximus in a powerful pose and the chameleon Pascal, colored orange, posing atop a bowl of oranges.

Eagle-eyed guests will also find a Pinocchio marionette puppet hiding in the rafters with barrels.

The restaurant walls are also plastered with posters advertising shows by the ruffians who went on to realise their dreams after encouragement from Rapunzel. Posters include Fang and Puppet Friends present ‘Socking It To The Man’ and Ulf The Criminal Master Mime.

The Snuggly Duckling also features an expansive outdoor seating area, allowing guests to enjoy a meal while taking in the atmosphere of Rapunzel’s Forest.

At The Snuggly Duckling, guests can chow down on burgers (choice of beef, fried shrimp and plant burger) sandwiched between a yellow duck-coloured bun. For dessert, guests can enjoy a Sweets Ever After (Lemon & Strawberry) tart, and Duckling caramel muffin.
